GUADELOUPE

Palm trees on Sunny beach and turquoise

Located between the islands of Monserrat and Dominica, the twin islands of Guadeloupe look like the emerald wings of a butterfly spread out on the blue Caribbean Sea.  This island does not  just offer white sand beaches, there are  also waterfalls, rain forests , the famous Jacques Costeau underwater reserve and cultural sites showcasing the islands historical heritage - a compilation of African, European, Amerindian and French roots.   Although Guadeloupe is a province of France and French is the official language, most hotels are staffed with bilingual  - french  and english speaking - workers.
